Fliers: (sorry, check back for the fliers) Maximizing flyer publicity This year, we had one full page flyer (2,000), one quarter-page (12,000), and one 11 x 17 poster (200). Most of the posters went in the windows of stores that are friendly to the cause of peace, and this is the 2nd and 3rd year that many of these businesses have displayed the Peacefest poster. Flyers were distributed: in the ferry terminals, at our table and with our walking squadron, and that is an excellent way to outreach to typical Staten Islanders, letting people know about the festival and why it's important to attend, at a few different local train stations, as commuters were returning home from work and pleasure, during some of our volunteers commute, as we travelled on local buses, and let our fellow islanders know about people power, and in our pedestrian encounters, at eleven out of twelve library branches, and on the campuses of Wagner College and CSI. We also believe our road signs publicizing this year's event do much to make people at least aware that there are groups trying to protect, preserve, and even expand democratic rights here, and everywhere for that matter.
